Last summer it was Girltalk, this summer it’s all about The Hood Internet. I actually paid for the second Girltalk album (what was I smoking?) and nearly had a brain hemorrhage when he started cutting up Avril Lavigne. What happened to mixes that actually maintained a flow and actually let a track breathe for a bit? I guess everyone and their helper monkeys are mash-up djs now but The Hood Internet are legit - I mean they got a mixtape with all mashes of Lykke Li songs!
