Doug Alves – Nacionale

Some crispy illustrations and typography care of Brazilian-born Doug Alves (Nacionale). The guy is 25 and has a client list that makes me want to start binge drinking. Love his type work.

  • Love the Burton illustration. The type and swirls are dope but I think it could do without the drips, find them distracting.

  • whoa, nice client list… yea his type work is really crazy

  • WoW!

  • beautiful work!

  • I love the first pic of the woman. How can I get my hands on that?

Artist Spotlight: Brendan Monroe

brendan-monroe-mammatus24

Our friend Brendan Monroe’s show “Mammatus” just opened at Curator’s Cube in Tokyo. We stopped by the space last week and it all looked fantastic — a nice mix of drawing, painting and sculpture (especially loved the ceramics). The shows up until the 29th so if you happen to be in Japan go go go. Have a look at more images below!
