Emily Wong

It turns out Emily Wong (Ninja vs Penguin) is obsessed with hair! Whenever she’s feeling really stressed she busts out the graphite – haha I love it. The hair in this first drawing actually belongs to Ophelia Chong, small world!

Jeff Hamada is the Founder and Editor of Booooooom. He lives and works in Vancouver.

    Hey Ophelia!

Even your hair is famous now? What about your “capillatus pubertas”. Will those be immortalized too? Some previous boyfriend must have a photograph of it somewhere……

Made with seemingly banal landscape photographs purchased at flea markets and arranged into a single scene, these collages effectively merge different times and places together, creating entirely new landscapes. The gorgeous framing is really makes this simple idea quite striking. More images from Fiction Landscapes below.

Video of the Day: “Life is a Dance” by Sebastian Linda

Incredible energy in the filming/editing of this dance video by artist/filmmaker Sebastian Linda. Visual style is very similar to Leonardo Dalessandri’s “Watchtower of Turkey” (featured here) but I’d say it’s a much better fit with this type of content. Check out “Life is a Dance” below!
