Bosque isn’t just one guy, and I assume KN received the same press release I did – I’m sure they sent out press releases to many art/design blogs.

curious :) take a look at my pin collection called “Bosque”

i don’t get you man! you usually got really good artistic tastes but here is just some exemple of people who copied/pasted other people. there is NOTHING new in it. just boring. am i the only one thinking in this way ?

^ i guess we can quit making art since everything’s been done!

    In response to Anouk…

I see where you’re coming from with this but i’m not sure i agree ENTIRELY [maybe partially though; i do hate clone artists]

If you’re saying that it’s copied then even your own work is copied… This may be a personal thing but i don’t believe having your own style is created by your mind and life drawing. you see things you like and you like the way things look so you try out new techniques based on those things. by this you’re just copying another artist. by LIFEDRAWING you’re just copying what other artists have already established! thus making no “style” unique. giving every artists no style.

It’s extremely hard to take that type of standpoint with “art” as a total because there’s too much that can be considered art, Think about Duchamp’s Monalisa with a Moustache. Would you consider that to be art? All that is is taking someone else’s art and adding to it. Andy Warhol is the same… MANY MANY artists are essentially ‘copy’ artists.

Don’t take this as a diss or antying like that.

You could say anything copied from life is just a copy and only a copy. It’s kind of like with Photography. I’ve studied photography and i understand composition and all that but i don’t value it’s artistic value as much as a drawing, painting or even a book. The reason is because the gratification of the photo is then and there. Even if you develop your own photos… still; the pictures there; you’re just tweaking it.

What i’m getting at with this rant is i LOVE photography as much as i love art in general; but personally i don’t consider it a HARD thing to do. it’s not point and shoot but it’s not too hard of a thing to do provided you have the equipment and such that you need. it’s not like you can get it anatomically incorrect, you cant get proportions wrong, you essentially can’t do anything wrong! it all just copies whats infront of it

so just because something is simple to do; or easy to make or simplistic; it’s still ART– even if it’s similar to another person’s art… And that style seems to be quite popular at the moment anyway. Everything has been done already; so the only thing we can really do is to make the things we make have our own flare so vibrant that people will appreciate it as we pretend our chosen craft/crafts are unique.

    …or something like that.

yeah… my english isnt that cool to respond as well as i could do in my own mother tong. so please dont make fun with my english mistakes..

well, i do know art is something you cannot really define and i do know also that we ve already done a lot of things and that copying is one of the first thing other artist do.

Im stuying grafic design in a school for 4 years and we do learned since the first school year how to think about all this “matter” (what as art, duchamp, warhol etc…) but ithink in this case we don’t even need use this potential because. eve if we al have our style copied by someone who already did it (even my own drawing style apparently) we still have the choice of colors, places to paint, style of paper do draw on, moto to shout etc…

i ma really sorry but HERE, nothing!!! not even a personal micro personal details. other did it and are doing it (fashion?) but in a more professional way. i think at BUE right now, or HELLO MONSTERS,etc… its sounds just empty and i would paid to interview that crew, i m sure they don’t feel the magic stuff when they do wha they actually do as “art”…. dunno…

Anouk i just want to say i wasn’t actually trying to attack your own art or anything i was just using it as an example, i meant everytype in all parts including my own! hope i didn’t offend with that…

but reading through what you’ve said does make sense and i see where you’re coming from; it doesn’t appear to have any sort of meaning other than they have created it to get gratification showing people. i guess that’s the irony in it. it’s like they have seen an easily adaptable art style and are bringing in the profit due to it. i guess that brings the question of is art still art if it’s only done for the purpose of making money.

i would like to see earlier works to see how artists with similar styles built up to what they are today. this is why i like online gallery sites where people have their collected works for years and years so you can see clear style evolution and put together how people got to the place they are now; the areas they worked on to get where they are now and the areas they dismissed as if they don’t deem it useful to them.

this has become more of a personal blog rant than a response but i hope that makes sense!

:) I don’t feel attack or whatever. I like reading what you say cause you’re right for couple of things. I don’t know if that crew is making money with what they do but it makes me feel better when I read your sentences cause it seems you get what i was trying to express…

I have nothing personal against bosque, but i think they are not really mature yet. they making good stuff but they should more appropriate themselves what they create. they seems being quickly satisfy by their own work.
who has NEVER seen words done with “locks” spagghettis style ?
who has never seen basic monsters done like that ?

I m actually surprised by the boooOOom selection wich is usually very well filtered.
But come one, it’s not a big deal, this is just nice to share opinions. :)

(ps: i checked all their website and i won’t deny that i did like couple of their works)

    yes it is.
all the stuff i put in my blogs are not compleet works. this is just researchs, works in progress,…
almost nothing is published as finalities. i m still studying, not making money, i don’t pretend being professional yet
