Illustrations by Sam Weber. A personal favourite of mine, really really fantastic stuff. I would love to see his colouring process.
Really nice work, i remember the top image from Varoom Issue 1 cover.
yes^ Varoom is one of my favourite publications. I wish it was a little cheaper though!
Oh man, those are incredible.
wow so gorgeous
I have been following him and his development for a few years now. I can’t remember if it was the 2008 or 2007 issue of Communication Arts Illustration annual, but one of them he was on the cover of.
He is really amazing. I have been working to develop an analog (drawing/painting) to digital technique in the last 6-8 weeks and it is not an easy thing to do.
Everything he makes is beautiful. It’s real art.
Very nice. Great style.
love the lastone artwork!
Really high quality stuff!
Agreed with everything said, this is true talent.
i didn’t realise until now Weber was married to Jillian – http://www.booooooom.com/2009/01/29/jillian-tamaki/
that is rad
anybody see the similarities between the first piece and that TOOL video?
kinda of strange
but yeah his stuff is fantastic
love his aesthetics since his cover of varoom first issue
When I look at other artist work I always want to feel the thoughts of the artist. I always like to see some kind critique about the work this I believe opens the discourse away from aesthetics. Those poor wallpaper minds how I want meaning, always meaning, pure poetry to thy ears to take away those fears.
these are really amazing, nice play on space and parts really seem to be three dimensional
took my breath away
