  • i shoulda taken a photo of it from the bottom so you could see how high it is, its a pretty good workout that’s for sure!

  • what camera did you shoot these with?

    • my sister’s point and shoot, not sure the make/model

  • That first pick with the squirrel is awesome!

  • Lee

    CHIPMUNK!

  • What did you shout? :)

    • absolutely nothing (which was one of the suggestions haha), it was so beautiful, we kinda just stood there in silence. ate lunch and then laid on our backs and watched the clouds roll by, it was amazing.

      • for those that don’t know – the suggestions i am referring to are from the discussion on our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/booooooom) about what i was supposed to yell when i got to the top.

  • Wahou! it’s beautiful! I wanna go there! i wish we had this kind of landscape around Paris… Nice pics !

  • I have always wanted to meet a squirrel. Sux those little fella’s aren’t here in Australia.

    • Kyle

I could be wrong but I think that’s actually a chipmunk. squirrels don’t usually have those type of stripes! cute buggers

  • Hotpulp

    chipmunk!

  • lapetitefaon

Insanely jealous, thinking I may live on the wrong coast…the first photo is adorable.

    • you have to see the northwest at some point, its more beautiful in person

  • Chipmunk? Even better! Loved that show as a kid.

    • rescue rangers was my favourite cartoon (also chipmunks)

  • what an incredible view,,, lovely.

  • I love how the mountains in the background make that chipmunk look even tinier than it already is. Also, you look cute. :)

  • Ummm way cool that this is so close to you. Way cool. And I must say. Nice photography as well.

  • emily

oh, that looks so cool, is being up in the clouds as amazing as i want it to be?
    (2nd pic)

  • andy

can you please find out what camera was used? i’ve been looking for a decent point&shoot and these photos look ace.

    • i dont know what model my sister has but if you want a point and shoot you can’t go wrong with a Canon G10 or a Panasonic LX3

  • I love the image of you feeding the little chipmunk! So precious!

  • Shelley

Love the random snowman…I love finding weird stuff, in weird places…beautiful mountain too!

  • Dan

Hand-Embroidered Photographs by Artist Diane Meyer

American artist Diane Meyer questions the ability of photography to accurately preserve our memory and experience, highlighting its tendency to obscure the past by transforming history into an object of nostalgia. Embroidering directly onto photographs taken along the former path of the Berlin wall, see more images from “Berlin” below.

You can also click here to see our previous post on Meyer’s series of hand-embroidered family photos, “Time Spent That Might Otherwise Be Forgotten,” a selection of which is on display at the George Eastman Museum in New York until Janurary 29th.
