I must concur with Jacob. Being featured on Booooooom is the best web-related experience I’ve had yet as an artist. It’s a blog I visit (at least) twice a day, so it is really a dream come true for me. And, yes, people seem to have come out of the woodwork as a result, interested in my work. I’d say that a big “THANK YOU JEFF” is in order.

I can’t tell you how many good design blogs I have followed for the last five years and how many of those have died. Your blog is the only one that has been consistently great and fun to follow.

I understand how much work it is to keep up but I want to thank you for keeping one of the best design sites on the web.

Artist Spotlight: j.frede

Beautifully combined images in this series by Los Angeles-based artist j.frede. Made with seemingly banal landscape photographs purchased at flea markets and arranged into a single scene, these collages effectively merge different times and places together, creating entirely new landscapes. The gorgeous framing is really makes this simple idea quite striking. More images from Fiction Landscapes below.

Video of the Day: “Life is a Dance” by Sebastian Linda

Incredible energy in the filming/editing of this dance video by artist/filmmaker Sebastian Linda. Visual style is very similar to Leonardo Dalessandri’s “Watchtower of Turkey” (featured here) but I’d say it’s a much better fit with this type of content. Check out “Life is a Dance” below!
