The Triple Crown

Rapha Continental rolled through Vancouver and they definitely didn’t take it easy! The Triple Crown is loosely defined as the summiting of Vancouver’s Seymour, Grouse and Cypress mountains in one effort. There’s no rule regarding in what order the climbs must be done, only that they have to be completed in one day.

M+A / Bam

M+A / Bam

I came across this video for M+A called Bam, on Indie Music Filter (I highly suggest you check this blog out) and I was immediately mesmerized by the synchronized lady clones until I realized it was all one girl. She must have had to twirl and jump for hours to make this happen. Her movements were perfectly in rhythm to the sample beats in a way that was totally hypnotic. Seriously though, she doesn’t even break a sweat. Not how I remember gym class at all.

Synesthesia

The gang at Yours Truly are starting a project called Synesthesia and I have jumped on board to help produce future installments of the series. So what is it? I’ll let Momo Ishiguro from Yours Truly explain it!

synesthesia

Even if you’re not synesthetic (a neurological condition that produces the rare ability to experience separate senses simultaneously), there are times when colors seep through songs and music wafts out of otherwise quiet objects. A certain chord has a blue-gray tint; a certain sculpture sounds like waves crashing on the shore.

In this new series, Yours Truly asks some of the most visual people around to fill us in on the links between sound and vision by paying homage to a sonic artist who has helped them hear colors and sing shapes.
