Victory Gardens Vancouver Giveaway

Victory Gardens Vancouver Giveaway
I’m really excited to team up with Victory Gardens Vancouver for this giveaway. Lisa, Sam and Sandra are challenging the way our city uses space through urban farming!

They’ve hooked me up with two really cool giveaways:

1) Two Tickets to Old Faithful & Victory Gardens Workshop
This is a container gardening workshop and the focus of this event will be on tomatoes and how to grow your own pizza! The workshop takes place on June 9th, from 9:30 – 11:00AM and each participant will walk away with a handmade cedar box planted with tomato and basil.

2) Victory Gardens and Collage Collage Handmade garden Kit
This kit features a handmade cedar box, drainage rock, earth, seeds, row markers, decorating supplies and instructions on how to grow your own food.

If you’d like to snag either of these prizes we want to see your best “Vegetable Still Life”. Snap a photo and leave a comment below with a link to it. You can use a service like imgur to do it. If you want some inspiration: here, here, here, or here.

We’ll pick two winners on Thursday, June 7th!

Photographer Spotlight: Angeles Peña

“Aguas de Montaña” is a journey into The Andean Patagonia, a desolate territory where photographer Angeles Peña lived all of her childhood.

She says, “In a world that spins faster and faster I feel an enormous necessity to focus on the details and the beauty of what still remains. I find myself with a nature that sustains itself but can fall at any moment. It is something that surpasses me and I cannot stop observing.”
