I remember Wintersleep’s song “Weighty Ghost” that came out in 07, I was still in school then and I must’ve listened to that song over a thousand times. I still think it’s catchy. So when I got word of their latest record Hello Hum (out June 12th), I was hoping for more of the same, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they’ve completely outgrown their more folksy roots and have remained awesome.

Hello Hum has that spooky percussive urgency of The National, or Interpol. A track that stuck out was “Nothing is Anything (Without You)”, partly because the vocals sound like Jeff Magnum, but also because of how high spirited it sounds. It just feels good. Listen, below.
