Adam Johnson is one of the finalists in Ketel One’s “A Gentleman’s Call” search for an innovative idea worth $100,000. Johnson and his company Withers & Grain take waste wood from old water towers and buildings and turn it into furniture. My friend Andrew recently started doing a similar thing, building beautiful tables for friends of ours from old doors. Upcycled furniture seems to be a big trend right now. Watch the video below!
Bloomberg Businessweek continues to kill it with their art direction. They recently created parody versions of other well-known magazines for their annual The Year Ahead issue, mimicking the style of iconic publications like Time and Wired to convey the range of topics that are going to matter in the coming year.
