It was just over a year ago that I started contributing to BOOOOOOOM. My first post was naturally, about a girl crush – thinly veiled reminders to just start my own girl band already.

In the spirit of that first post and the many to follow, I wanted to share my latest girl crush: Angel Olsen, whose record Halfway Home completely slays me. This is the perfect Holiday jam; Olsen is the reincarnation of Judy Garland, Sibylle Baier and all of those other talented songstresses of decades past. There’s something vintage-y and delicate about her vocals (see: makes me want to weep).
