Pow Wow Hawaii 2013

Pow Wow Hawaii 2013

Next week I’m headed to Hawaii for Pow Wow Hawaii 2013. I look forward to this event all year and it’s finally that time again! Like last year, I’ll be living on the North Shore with a bunch of international artists in a beautiful house called the Utopium Estate.

Feb 11th-16th artists converge on the streets of Honolulu, painting murals and interacting with the community. There will also be youth art and music workshops, as well as lectures at the University of Hawaii.

Photoshopped Selfie Sticks Replace Guns in Popular Movies

Untitled-1

Been seeing a lot of these selfie stick images circulating the net recently and was trying to figure out where they were from. The image above, from Terminator (the best I’ve seen so far) was shared on Twitter last year. Since then a Tumblr has popped up called Guns Replaced with Selfie Sticks sharing similar images from popular movies, and it appears they take submissions. More images below.

Animation: Yeasayer “Silly Me”

yeasayer-newmedia

Another fantastic video by New Media Limited for Yeasayer. “Silly Me” is the prequel to “I Am Chemistry”, and both have a wonderfully strange animation style. Watch it over on Booooooom TV.
