Check out this documentary on the making of the mural for Kurt Vile‘s upcoming album “Wakin on a Pretty Daze”. Mural artist, Stephen Powers aka ESPO talks about the inspiration he found in the lyrics which made up most of the rad icons.

He talks a lot about the industrial landscape of Philly and the art scene that exists there: “I think there’s a necessary, fundamental simplicity for work to survive here and to actually thrive and for people to take ownership of it”. Check it out after the jump.
