Booooooom Submissions / February

First of all, thanks for all your submissions to the January Submissions post last month, I’m still finding really great stuff in there. Thanks also for continuing to encourage the submitters with your comments and for upvoting all the work you like.

This is the February Submissions post, please share your work here during the month of February. The comments are enabled to allow images so make sure post an image along with a link to your website.

Submission guidelines:

1. Please don’t flood the comments with a dozen images, just post 1 image that represents your best work along with 1 link.

2. If you see good work posted by someone upvote it so it appears at the top. This is not just a nice thing to do, it helps me see what work you actually like.

3. You can/should also encourage people who are sharing good work here! Comment on their posts and let them know you like what they’re doing. I really want to foster a community here, and this is a simple way you can connect with other people making work.

4. Keep in mind your post may not show up right away because it has an image attached. It may need to be manually approved first so don’t freak out and post a million times, once is enough.

This is a new project that I’ve just completed in collaboration with Clare Findon. It’s a seasonal Veg calendar Designed by myself, Illustrated by Clare Findon and screen printed in an Edition of 50 at Hotbed press in Salford.

The print seeks to celebrate Seasonal British produce by displaying information in a decorative and functional way. Who said you don’t win friends with salad. Links and Images below

…some of your work strikes me as what basquiat and warhol were trying to collaborate on(if that makes sense?) but seemingly failed. You nailed it.

    • Kaspar Kagi

Wow thanks a lot I appreciate it! Yeah ya got me in a nutshell haha, I’m a fan of both of them, I really like artists who produce a lot of work in short amounts of time and I love Basquiats spontaneous style it’s too cool

Screen shot of the map building process. Graphics subject to change by the end of the project. Hired a writer for the story too.

    • Casey Curran

I want to know whats going on here. is there a link? it looks really cool

      • Shea Kennedy

Thanks for showing some interest in my project. Basically what you are seeing is some graphics (in development) for an independent videogame I’m producing from home. The game is in a very early stage of development so it has yet to be titled, and no website or promotion has been started for it yet. The game is going to be an action packed turn-base RPG with some parallels to the early Final Fantasy series. The storyline is still under development and I have just hired a writer to work on shaping the character arcs, dialogue, and overall story continuity. I’m sorry that there is no project link yet. I do plan to create a website soon after completing the first game beta and producing some promotional videos. All I can say for now is to keep an eye out for my future posts in the Booooooom monthly submissions, hopefully a web site will be soon to come.

My latest piece(“Negroes,” Digital Illustration); a satirical approach to racism and racial stereotypes in America.

I’m a freelance graphic designer/digital illustrator from MS living in VA. I mostly do portraits–but am more motivated to do pieces that make a sociopolitical statement.

    Modular Vase

A vase is an open container (one element) made of a number of
    materials designed to hold flowers.

Modular vase proposes and alternative, one that reflects the nature of flowers, usually meaning more than one. A bouquets gains beauty from a combination and variation of different flowers, here the Modular vase mimics this by combining different sized containers capable of holding different sizes flowers which combine to form a bouquet, rather than the standard method of a
    singular vessel.
