App of the Day: Be My Eyes

This app made me a little emotional; it’s so beautiful. Be My Eyes allows volunteers to lend their eyes to blind people! A blind person simply requests help, a volunteer helper receives a notification, and the two are connected via live video. The request may be for help identifying the expiry date on a carton of milk, or assistance reading a street sign.

Be My Eyes is non-profit, and exists solely to help make a difference in the lives of blind people. Watch the video below.
