“Shylight” by Studio Drift

shylight-studiodrift

Lonneke Gordijn, Ralph Nauta and Jozeph Hendricks have created a really unique lamp here! The “Shylight” is made of silk and is designed to fall from the ceiling, blossoming like a flower as it goes. After a period of time it retracts and climbs back up towards the ceiling. Watch the video below!

Love the nexus of nature and tech. The armatures themselves has such nice lines. I wonder what it would look like with different hues and of silk.

    • yea i’d love to see a whole bunch in an array of colours like a Chihuly piece

1- What’s your favourite piece of useless trivia?

2- What’s a bargain bin movie that’s actually really good?

3- How many times do you think you’ve stolen something in your life?

4- Describe your favourite procrastination technique.

5- What’s a unique question that I can use for a future 5 Questions post?
