      My guess is they spliced up the video into layers by creating a track mask and then stretched and squeezed the different layers. There is a lot of finessing beyond this, but I think that it the general technique. It’s awesome because in video you are always freaking out over squash and squish, due to aspect ratios and such. Here they just went for it.
