lavalette8

American photographer Shane Lavalette’s new book is an extension of a series he did for a 2012 exhibition called “Picturing the South.” Drawing on the rich history of blues and gospel music, the book also includes text by artist and poet Tim Davis.

See more images from One Sun, One Shadow below or, if you’re in the New York area, check out the book launch and signing at Printed Matter on November 4 from 6-8pm!
