I never took a camera with me to Hawaii because I am an idiot a light packer – so I have been creepin’ on Facebook stealing photos from friends’ albums. The place really does live up to the hype. If I can figure out how to fully waterproof my Macbook I might move back to Maui and just live underwater. Someone told me they didn’t think that would be possible but I am pretty sure they are wrong. Alternate titles for this post: “Sayonara golden tan” and “Seasonal depression starts now”.
Back to work…
So while the rest of you were lying around on the couch in your underwear, hypnotized by the Olympics, my sister and I decided to climb a mountain. These photos are further proof I live in the best place on earth.
This was a our pump-up song before the hike and also our celebration song after the hike:
I went camping this weekend with my old man and my sister. We went to our favourite (secret) spot, my pops caught two fish, and it rained just enough the first night that the fire ban was lifted and we could enjoy smores around the campfire – it was a perfect weekend. If you are one of the select few I have revealed the location to, you are sworn to secrecy. There are only a handful of places like this left on earth. Here’s a few flicks from our hike.
The good guys over at Hypebeast sent me the “Black Mamba” also known as the friends and family edition of the Subcrew x Hypebeast collaboration hat. I don’t think I can say much about their website that you don’t already know. Thanks Kev, Jason, and Eugene! (Thanks for being the mailman, Rich!) Cheers fellas.
After a little delay, Brave Art Vancouver has been confirmed! Friday June 13th 7-11pm at the Ayden Gallery (88 West Pender – Second Floor of Tinseltown). Have some drinks, hear some tunes, watch some live art, peruse the gallery. The Whistler Brave Art show was a blast and the Vancouver opening will be no different!
The Canadian Press reported some extremely sad news today, Canucks defenceman Luc Bourdon was killed today riding his motorcycle in northern New Brunswick. He was just 21 years old and he had so much potential as the Canucks first round pick in the 2005 draft. I am shocked, this is so tragic. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
