I thought it would be interesting to contrast Livingston’s series with the photography of Myoung Ho Lee. Lee uses giant backdrops to abstract the image of the tree, separating it from its environment.
Diane Ducruet’s staged family portraits appear silly and light-hearted at first glance, but there is quite a seriousness to them if you really look. Ducruet says they are commentary on family dynamics, control and power.
Photosynthesen is a series of photos by Katrin Binner that is totally random and totally awesome. I am absolutely baffled as to the relationship between all these photos, and I love each for entirely different reasons.
