In an effort to feature more painters on the site here’s some paintings by Californian, Michelle Blade. I am definitely more familiar with the work of her sister, Sonya… ok bad joke. I’m digging these – the last one reminds me of that Spanish horror film The Orphanage.
This is great to see – lettering by Maxwell Lord created the good old fashioned way, by hand. Like the old saying goes: “Fineliners before mouse clicks!” (No one says this, I made it up) Thanks for the email Max.
The fabulously surreal photography of Andrea Galvani. There are so many awesome ideas packed in here, I mean wow. My eyes popped out and my head fell off. I want more.
How about a collection of 1950′s film posters re-illustrated by Yann Lebec. No? Too bad! I’m forcing them on you. These are so AWESOME. I have to admit that I do have a little bit of an obsession with film posters.

Photography from Brooklyn-based Adam Golfer. For his series Kin* he spent seven weeks in Germany documenting young people and their surroundings, and he is hoping to continue the project in Israel in 2009. Below are photos from Kin* and Cold Wind.
Montreal-based Julien Vallée is a cut & paste master. When I originally posted about the work of Nicolas Burrows I didn’t realise the image of all the stuff coming out of the computer screen was actually a collaborative effort with Vallée. It makes perfect sense now.
