Adam Haynes

I heard about the insane Nike 6.0 ill Mobile Truck quite awhile ago, but I didn’t realise it was illustrator Adam Haynes who actually made this beast a reality. Check out his awesome concept drawings for Nike 6.0 and other little bits I collected off his site.

Labokoff

I have very little information about Labokoff. I just stumbled upon her work on etsy. I do know that most of the images are little pieces of France. Enjoy the great combination of photography and painting.

Priscilla Ahn

Le Blogotheque recently put up some great videos of Priscilla Ahn and I instantly became her biggest (and newest, and best-looking) fan. Listening to her voice is like sipping hot chocolate by the campfire. If you like this song, there’s a couple more after the jump.

Gemma Booth

Some really fun photography from Gemma Booth. Apparently fashion photography doesn’t always have to include a bunch of naked girls! It must be pretty tough for Booth to take a bad picture when her shoots are so fantastically art-directed and brilliantly styled. Love the series with the little robot!

Pacific Cinematheque

Jessica over at Pacific Cinematheque (great non-profit threatre here in downtown Vancouver) just let me know that on Monday October 20th (7:30pm) they will be screening some of the best work from Miranda July’s Joanie 4 Jackie Chainletter Tapes. Female filmmakers/artists were invited to submit work to July, the work was then compiled onto videotapes and mailed back out to everyone who contributed. So if you submitted something you recieved a tape of your own work along with an assortment of other artists’ work. Cool idea.

Beastie Boys Live – PART 2

Not exactly hot on the heels of Beastie Boys Live – PART 1, but here is the next installment nonetheless. If you haven’t already grabbed Live in Australia ’99 and the Demo version of Paul’s Boutique do that first. Next up is Live in London – Wembley Stadium, also from 1999. Sound quality is the name of the game here so this is another one that is likely direct from soundboard or possibly from the feed that went out to radio.

Once again these photos were taken by Maya Hayuk, a fantastic artist whose work I am a huge fan of.

Johan Willner

More photography from Sweden. Johan Willner. Especially love his black and white work, some of which is more than a decade old! Photography, like a fine wine, only gets better with age (or so I’m told, I’m the guy who always buys the “house” wine cuz its usually the cheapest).
