Love this series of cordial invitations by Keetra Dean Dixon. Easily some of the best graphic work I’ve posted on this site.

Just Us is a collective created by students at Plymouth College of Art as a way of showcasing design students’ work from all over the UK. Great idea, and great work too!
Now I rarely post about someone twice (let alone twice in a row), but Kavel Rafferty also collects old record sleeves for her blog, Record Envelope! How great is this?
Thank God for Flickr – specifically Uppercase’s fantastic collection of vintage typewriter ribbon tins.
I am inviting YOU to my party! Thursday Feb 19th – 8 pm to 11 pm – Livestock (1709 West 4th). Canada’s premier sneaker store Livestock and I are hosting a party/charity event for the long-awaited (for me anyways) release of the shoe I designed for Converse & (PRODUCT)RED. All profits from shoes sold at the event will be donated directly to The Global Fund by Livestock!
If you want to get your hands on a pair show up around 8pm to make sure you can get them. Your purchase will help the fight against AIDS in Africa! Come on out even if you don’t want the shoes, it would be fun to meet you all in person! RSVP the FACEBOOK EVENT or just show up!

A really quick word regarding the design of the shoe – the shoes are covered in 100 hands which represent the people of Africa calling out for help and also those around the world answering their call. I didn’t want to sugar-coat what’s going on in Africa but I did want the message to be a hopeful one so that’s why that bit of sky blue is in there. I’ll tell you more when I see you!

Thank you to all the newspapers, magazines, websites, radio stations, and tv talkshows that have helped spread the word about the shoe and more importantly the message behind them! And thank you to all of you who have told a friend!
Janine Rewell is a very talented graphic designer/illustrator from Helsinki, Finland. And so ends the string of Canadians (for now).
