Seat-belt Camera Strap
Photojojo just sent me over a fun little camera strap made out of a seat belt! Perfect timing because I have many cameras whose straps are on life support.

If you’re on Twitter you might already be up on Twibes. I personally hate the name (Elmer Fudd anyone?), but they allow people who share common interests to communicate with one another.
I just launched two different Twibes:
Join the Booooooom Twibe.
Join the Hand Drawn Twibe.
Tickets for Pecha Kucha Vancouver (May 21 – 7pm) are now available online!!! I will be speaking there along with eleven other people including designer Marian Bantjes! I listened to her speak at Justified West and I could feel previously unused parts of my brain coming alive. You do not want to miss this! Tickets are only $10 and they will sell out. Get them here.
If you don’t already know about Pecha Kucha, each speaker shows 20 slides for 20 seconds, and there is no pausing or reviewing of slides. So if someone is boring they are only boring for 400 seconds. Show up early and you get free booze. Feel free to bring tomatoes to throw at me – I was hoping I could go first and get it over with but it appears I am last so the pressure is on!
Bigger version of the flyer here.
My friends and I have been on a toy camera spree lately – here’s some snaps from my friend Renan’s Wine & Cheese Fiesta on the weekend. The party camera of choice: Lomo Fisheye.
I want to preface this post by saying that if you send me something there is no guarantee I will write about it. I only write about what I like, and I receive a lot of product that I don’t mention on this site. Save yourself money by emailing me first! End rant. Ken runs a little sock company out of his apartment in Brooklyn, called Ashi Dashi. I love these ones he sent over that look like cigarettes!
My friend Andrew and I went to F5 today, and a lot of other people did too apparently. We had to snag seats in the balcony for the first part but moved to floor seats after lunch. It worked out because the presentations got better as the day went on. I was very excited to hear Asif Mian speak as part of 1stAveMachine’s presentation and speaking to him out in the lounge later on was a bonus.
I landed in NY around 4pm, here’s a couple quick snaps. I had to take the obligatory wing shot. I like the little mountain poking up (this was in Washington, Mt. Baker?).
I mentioned last week that I was invited out to F5 and I just made the last minute decision to go! I’ll be there for the rest of the week so I’ll be updating you from over there! Here’s what I’ll be looking at during the flight. Talk soon!
