Updown Magazine
The latest issue of Updown Magazine magically arrived at my door. It’s a nice little Canadian publication that covers art, music, and snowboarding. Oh yea, it’s FREE!

Thanks to everyone who came out! You all made it such a fun night! I still have to find out the total amount raised but it was a great turnout and A LOT of shoes were sold! Good news for those of you who don’t live here, you can get them online, HERE.
Here’s a whole slew of photos – big thanks to Jolin Ras and Cory Gibbons for the pics! Oh and thanks to Donna for the sharpie!
My shoes for Converse 1Hundred + RED get released tonight! Livestock. 1709 West 4th Ave. 8pm – 11pm. I’m headed downtown right now, CBC Radio 1 (690AM) is having me on to talk about the project at 4:40PM.
See all of you (locals) tonight! For all my internet friends I’ll try to find out when/where the shoes will be available online! Thanks for all the support!
Just a quick bit of personal news – the good folks at Hypebeast interviewed me about the release of my shoe for Converse and a bit of my personal background! Read the interview here.
In case you missed it, the charity/launch event is Thursday Feb 19th – Livestock (1709 West 4th Vancouver)! All profits from shoes sold that night will be donated to The Global Fund! Come out and support a good cause and get some shoes to boot (I’m not totally sure if that’s a pun).
Here is a sneak peek at three tees I designed for Livestock’s Artist Series. The shirts will be released on Feb 19th at the Converse launch/charity event (that you are all invited to)! More incentive for you to come out to my party!
The New York Times published an article/video last week about an Australian man named Oliver Percovich, who has worked hard for two years to create Skateistan – Afghanistan’s first skateboarding school. Hit “more” to watch the video and I’m sure you’ll be as inspired by the story as I am!
This one’s just for the Vancouverites – my good friend (and talented local illustrator) Ehren Salazar, is hosting a variety show called Hidden Agenda. Friday February 13th at The Waterfront Theatre (1412 Cartwright St. on Granville Island) – doors at 7:30pm – show at 8:00pm. There will be live music and a special encore screening of Animatron 2008 (a compilation of short animations)! Here’s a little message from Ehren not entirely related to Hidden Agenda, but not not related either:
