A cheeky animation following a ticket man on a train, by one of the most talented illustrators working right now, Simon Landrein. The visual innuendos in this play out like the dialogue in a James Bond film. Watch the music video for “Masters Of The Gentlemanly Art” below.
The crowdedness of our planet captured in an animation by Andrew Khosravani and Cristina Florit Gomila, made primarily out of plasticine. Watch “Crowded” below.
Love David Rudnick’s graphic work and typography for RL Grime’s debut album, VOID. This is flawless work, and I love how it carries over into the animation for RL Grime’s single “Valhalla”. The video was directed by David Rudnick and Daniel Swan, and features animation by Bob Walmsley and Andrew Keyser. Watch it below.
Cool music video by Jeremy Rotsztain for Russian musician COH created using sound-responsive algorithms. I imagine this is what people with synesthesia see when they hear music. Watch “BECHA-KPACHA” below.
Here’s a hand-painted rotoscope animation by Zachary Johnson, featuring 3,454 oil paintings, with music by The Sea The Sea. Watch the animation below.
Terrific animated gifs by Japanese illustrator Daisuke Nimura. More below.
Okay, this animation by Gabe Mangold is a masterpiece, and there wasn’t a single frame that I could pick that would do it justice. It’s the freshest hand-drawn animation I’ve seen in a long time. The song, Girl Seizure” by Last Ex, is wonderfully strange already but the video takes it to another dimension altogether. Found via our Booooooom Vimeo Group.
