Came across some work by Laurent Perbos that I thought was pretty funny. I remember back at artschool my friend Dave installed a ping pong table in the concourse gallery. The great thing about it was he made the table incredibly skinny to fit a tiny gap (only a few inches) between the wall and the hand rail for the staircase. Had a net, paddles, everything – this instantly reminded me of that.
I recently contributed a photo to a wonderful project called, Hand to Hand. A whole bunch of really talented people donated images to be turned into postcards and sold by donation at shops around town. 100% of the proceeds go towards People of Many, a non-profit, literacy outreach program.
Heather sent all the contributors this great little book as a thank you for participating. I was happily surprised to find my work sitting along side another friend of mine – James Nizam.
Hit “more” for the full list of contributing artists and locations to pickup the postcards.
Christmas by Colour is a great little project (not for profit) – in an attempt to portray the real Christmas colour spectrum you are invited to submit your own colour chip along with its personal meaning! The best entries will be made into A1 size posters!
Here’s a few examples that have been submitted so far:
