Our sticker project with Stickerobot Custom Stickers has come to an end! There were so many fantastic submissions it was really difficult (impossible) to choose just 3 winners. We really wanted to reward people who created things specifically for this project and also took into consideration what would print well as an actual sticker.

Here are the 3 sticker designs we chose! Each of you will receive 500 of your sticker back printed with a blurb about you and your contact information. We won’t be selling your designs, we will be giving them away to people, these are meant to be a fun way for us to promote you!

Thank you, once again, for all the incredible submissions! You can see them all here.

Just a reminder that our friends at Sticker Robot are currently offering 500 free stickers on every white vinyl sticker order of 1,000. There’s no limit so say you order 10,000 you’ll get 15,000. The offer is vaild until November 30th.

Booooooom Giveaway: Sony High-Resolution Bluetooth Headphones

sony-bluetoothheadphones1

This week’s giveaway is courtesy of Sony! They sent me out a pair of their latest Bluetooth headphones and there’s nothing basic about these. The headphones are high-resolution compatible meaning they can handle audio files higher quality than mp3 (FLAAC etc), and are wireless (Bluetooth and NFC syncing).

I have two pairs to give away (one for Canada, one for outside of Canada). So if you’d like to snag a pair of these leave a comment below and tell me: What’s the first song/album you’re going to listen to with these headphones? Also, make sure you tell me what city you live in! We’ll pick two winners in two weeks.

Booooooom Submissions / August

august-submission1

Here’s this month’s submission post! Thank you for all the submissions to the July Submissions post. This is the best way to submit your work to be considered for a post on Booooooom. Thanks to everyone for up-voting work you like, it really encourages artists in this community and helps me see what work you like. I encourage you to share your work here because these posts get a lot of traffic and even if your work is not a fit for Booooooom it still gets seen, and definitely sends traffic to your own websites.

Please share your work here during the month of August. The comments allow images to be attached so make sure post an image along with a link to your website.

Submission guidelines:

1. Please don’t flood the comments with a dozen images, just post 1 image that represents your best work along with 1 link.

2. If you see good work posted by someone upvote it so it appears at the top. This is not just a nice thing to do, it helps me see what work you actually like.

3. You can/should also encourage people who are sharing good work here! Comment on their posts and let them know you like what they’re doing. I really want to foster a community here, and this is a simple way you can connect with other people making work.

4. Keep in mind your post may not show up right away because it has an image attached. It may need to be manually approved first so don’t freak out and post a million times, once is enough.

Big big thanks to those of you who take time to leave nice comments to artists who submit work, and please keep upvoting work you like! Please share your work here during the month of May. The comments allow images to be attached so make sure post an image along with a link to your website.

Submission guidelines:

1. Please don’t flood the comments with a dozen images, just post 1 image that represents your best work along with 1 link.

Booooooom x ???????

boom-sneak-peek

In my big year-end post in December I said “These past five years, all of it, it’s all still the beginning. It would be really dumb to be satisfied with the beginning.” I set really big goals for myself for this year.

I’ve got something big to announce very soon (I’ve been hinting about it on my Instagram), it involves friends of mine and their brand, also based right here in Vancouver (you may be able to guess). This is the first of several projects that have been a little while in the making. I’m excited to tell you about this one. Stay tuned.

Giveaway: Cecilia Camera Straps

cecilia-camerastraps

This week I’m giving away four camera straps courtesy of Cecilia. A little bit about the straps:

“The full-grain leather is selected from premium Argentinian cowhides. The hides are finished in the USA with surface treatments that give the leather its durability. The alpaca textiles are handwoven by weavers in the Peruvian highlands. The backstrap loom weaving techniques and traditional patterns are a heritage of Andean culture. Sourced from mills in the USA, the reinforced webbing runs through the ends of the straps to ensure strength and reliability. The straps are assembled in León, Mexico. We work with some of the most experienced artisans of leather goods to craft a product of The Americas.”

If you’d like to snag one of these camera straps, leave a comment below and upload a photo you have taken recently. I’ll let the folks at Cecilia pick their four favourite images in two weeks (4 different winners).

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED!

CONGRATULATIONS TO: Maria Fernanda G, Matt Skuza, Alex Couture & Guilherme Viñas
