James Gulliver Hancock.

I’m going to invent a bunch of words to describe the work of James Gulliver Hancock. Fantastimagical. Collagenius. Inkredible. Ok, I’m done. Hancock also wins this week’s best artist name award.

Seinfeld wielding nunchucks!

Possibly the most ridiculous, and simultaneously awesome, caricatures in existence. Brandon Bird likes to draw celebrities in outrageous poses or stick them in bizarre situations, both to great comic effect. The John Tesh illustration (after the jump) is one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

Weapons, Rainbows, and Pinecones.

Yasmine does it again. Put either of these illustrations on a t-shirt at Threadless or DesignbyHumans and I guarantee she gets a couple grand, instead she just throws these up every night for free. A Print A Day continues to be the best kept secret on the net. Rainbows after the jump!

Groverfield.

My friend, and fellow Emily Carr graduate, Vasho Pekar and his co-workers at Artifex Studios (amazingly talented effects artists) put together this great little parody/re-cut of Cloverfield when they had a little down time at the office. It just hit FunnyOrDie yesterday and I’m sure it will be a big hit, it is really, really, well done. You probably need to have seen the flick for the full effect but maybe not. Great work Vasho!

Little Giants Volume One.

My buddy Bob Kronbauer is releasing his first film “Little Giants Volume One: Don Pendleton”. The film is a peek into the life of Don Pendleton whose breadth of amazing artwork for Alien Workshop alone is staggering, let alone his work for Element and other companies. Below are some of the faces you’ll see in the film – all singing Pendleton’s (well-deserved) praises. View the trailer after the jump!

Andrew Lewicki.

I came across two pieces by Andrew Lewicki that made me chuckle (and by chuckle I mean I didn’t make any audible noise whatsoever, but I pictured myself standing there in the gallery saying something like  hey that’s pretty funny”). Gold-plated Skate Rail (shown below) and Walnut Skate Ramp (after the jump). Other works include buffing a legal wall at Venice Beach.

Youtube Challenge: Best Boom.

It’s been a little bit since the mind-blowing success of the first Youtube Challenge – so here’s challenge #2. Find the best example of a “Boom” on youtube. Open for interpretation – the funnier the better. Leave a comment with a link to your choice. I’ll add your youtube videos to this post. Andrew Pancubit posted this first video on Booooooom’s fan page which gave me the idea.

Andrew P. – Haha this one will be hard to beat. Love the graphics on the giant video screen. Nice one Mr. P.

Rest of the submissions after the jump!
