I think I owe my mailman a beer, sorry bro! You have until the end of April to submit to Small Victories. Do it, do it.

Envelopes continue to show up for our Small Victories project and I am more and more amazed at the work being submitted. It is going to be a fun show! You have two more weeks to submit!
I’ve always found an element of creepiness to Genevieve Gauckler’s work, perhaps that’s why I find it so interesting. Even when the image is like 99% cute there is like a 2% creep factor (I realise that makes 101% but that’s what I’m talking about – that extra 1% of creepiness is what gets me).
Crispy illustrations outta North Carolina’s Patrick Leger. He nails that vintage look. I found Leger’s work over on my new favourite site, Made In England.
Christmas by Colour is a great little project (not for profit) – in an attempt to portray the real Christmas colour spectrum you are invited to submit your own colour chip along with its personal meaning! The best entries will be made into A1 size posters!
Here’s a few examples that have been submitted so far:
Interesting type experiments, unconventional calendars, and polaroids of sticks (all the sticks were safely returned to the forest). Check out the work of Claire Nereim. Really digging her dateless calendars – wall calendars are for show anyways.
This is great to see – lettering by Maxwell Lord created the good old fashioned way, by hand. Like the old saying goes: “Fineliners before mouse clicks!” (No one says this, I made it up) Thanks for the email Max.
