Andrea Galvani
The fabulously surreal photography of Andrea Galvani. There are so many awesome ideas packed in here, I mean wow. My eyes popped out and my head fell off. I want more.

An amazing paper heart by Haruki Nakamura. Load it up and jump to the 49-second mark to see what’s so great about it. Krissy, you should stick this on Paper Schmaper!

Montreal-based Julien Vallée is a cut & paste master. When I originally posted about the work of Nicolas Burrows I didn’t realise the image of all the stuff coming out of the computer screen was actually a collaborative effort with Vallée. It makes perfect sense now.
This beautifully crafted wood version of Wall-E is just incredible. I believe a company called Morpheus produced it but I’m not sure if they had the rights as information about the project and images have been taken off the net. I never saw the movie, is it worth seeing?
Some great work from France’s Laurent Champoussin. I’m digging this series of photos featuring a little television. I think I just like the whole ridiculousness of the television just kinda laying there on the ground (especially when the photos are taken from quite a distance).
In his series Landscapes (the first 4 images), Levi van Veluw de-contextualizes various landscapes, digitally compositing them onto photographs of himself. In Material Transfers (the last 3 images), he does the same thing using random materials and without any digital manipulation. Interesting work.
