If you live here in Vancouver, you might be somewhere in this photo! This is that night I screened Efterklang’s film “An Island”. I expected a few dozen and hundreds of you showed up!
Well, this Thursday Efterklang is playing at The Biltmore and you should all come! I’m not being paid to promote the show they are just friends of mine making incredible music. I think it would be cool if the Vancouver show was a tour highlight for them. Tickets are only $15.
See you there!

Here’s a wonderful look at the making of Efterklang’s new album Piramida, shot during an audio expedition to an abandoned Russian settlement in Spitsbergen, close to the North Pole.
“Spitsbergen is home to more polar bears than people and also to the ghost town of Piramida, which was abandoned overnight in 1998, and today stands as a slowly decaying ruin still full of physical memories like the world´s northernmost piano.”
I love seeing what lengths they go to just to discover and record sounds! Watch the clip below!
Back in February we had Booooooom’s first ever film screening (here) and the film I chose was “An Island”, a marvelous collaboration between Efterklang and Vincent Moon. Well my buddy Rasmus, from the band, has graciously given me a beautiful DVD package to give away to one of you!
So who wants it?
“Modern Drift” performed on three pianos and one drum, by Efterklang. This is an outtake from the “An Island” film package that has just been released! Love this performance.

The first-ever Booooooom film screening was a huge success! Thank you all for showing up and packing it out! Huge thanks to the gang at W2 for hosting the event for FREE! If you came out and enjoyed the film, please note that “An Island” runs on donations so if you feel inclined you can jump over here and support the project! Cheers!
