For the past month The Chapel (304 Dunlevy Ave, Vancouver) has been home to the Here Is Now art show, with new artists being added to the show each week. This Friday is the grand finale with five more artists joining the show, bringing the total to 35. The show starts at 6pm, you don’t want to miss this.

Reid (Lifetime) and I would like to thank the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of you that came out to the art show on Friday! It was overwhelming! Big thanks to Savoury Chef for providing all of the delicious food, the mini Vietnamese subs were a huge hit! If you’re hosting an event in Vancouver you need to let them handle the catering! Thanks to Phono for the music and Kale Friesen for shooting photos!
The gallery side was packed the whole night and the lounge side (with the music and food) quickly turned into quite a party. If you were there, leave a comment!
I can’t keep it secret any longer, I am extremely excited to announce the first-ever Booooooom art show, Tangents!
I have joined forces with the folks at Lifetime Collective to bring together six amazing artists for a group show here in Vancouver. November 13th. 8PM. Lifetime Space (68 5th Ave West).
Three locals, and three out of towners, all supremely talented. It is going to be an amazing show.
This Friday, Heavy Pencil is going down at the ICA Bar in London! It’s a monthly event where amazing illustrators are invited to draw live, in response to music. This month’s guests are Sac Magique and Ville Savimaa! You are stupid if you don’t show up for this.
Institute of Contemporary Art (Bar). Friday. 8PM. Free.
Little Paper Planes presents, Buddy System! If you live in SF, get down to Rare Device (1845 Market St.) at 7pm tonight, for the opening! Four artists were selected and then each of them had to invite a buddy to be a part of the show as well. The eight artists showing are: Caitlin Gallupe + Bridget Moser, Claire Grill + Aline Cautis, David Wilson + Nathaniel Russell, Jess Wheaton + Matt Momchilov.
Night Vision went down Friday night at Strathcona Park and several hundred people showed up to listen to music, chill out, and enjoy some photography. There was a little incident with the sprinklers but there’s nothing like a group shower to spice up a party! Huge props to Natasha Lands and Jennilee Marigomen for making it all happen!
The first three shots are courtesy of Julian Hecht, and I shot the last two from my blanket!
