My friend Andrew and I went to F5 today, and a lot of other people did too apparently. We had to snag seats in the balcony for the first part but moved to floor seats after lunch. It worked out because the presentations got better as the day went on. I was very excited to hear Asif Mian speak as part of 1stAveMachine’s presentation and speaking to him out in the lounge later on was a bonus.
I landed in NY around 4pm, here’s a couple quick snaps. I had to take the obligatory wing shot. I like the little mountain poking up (this was in Washington, Mt. Baker?).
And the winner of the pair of tickets to F5 Fest in New York City (valued over $500) is… Katie Rains! Congratulations Katie! Also, thank you all for generously offering floors and even beds for me to sleep on, I just might take one of you up on your offer when I finally head to NY! Thank you all for participating!
All you New Yorkers this one’s for you! F5 Fest is going down April 16-17 in New York and you do not want to miss it! Speakers include contemporary photographer Charlie White (I would go just to see him), Psyop, Dvein, Jonah Lehrer, Imaginary Forces, BBDO NY, to name a few. The tickets go for $280 each, and I have a pair to give away! I’m tempted to fly out there and use them myself! Did I mention the event has an open bar?
