Txema Yeste started his career as a reporter before moving into avant-garde fashion photography. For this reason his work is probably among the most diverse collections of photos I have featured.

Hypebeast recently asked me to list five things I can’t live without as part of their Essentials series. The four of us who were asked are all currently involved in Vancouver’s street fashion scene. That’s me on the bottom left. To my right is Kenta, the creative genius behind Brknhome, and above me are my friends Matt and Vince (Finale Design).
Read my five essentials, here. Feel free to list your five essentials in the comments!
Some nice work by the Italian/Canadian photography duo, Leda (the Italian) and St. Jacques (the Canadian). They’ve been making lots of noise in Canada’s fashion scene. Take a peek at their work at Productions L’Eloi. There seems to be a lot of hair on the blog lately!
Smack dab in the middle of Dirk Rees’ über-glossy fashion and advertising portfolio I found some lovely shots from his personal work.
Flora Hanitijo grew up in Montreal Canada and she currently lives, and snaps photos, in New York.
Some really fun photography from Gemma Booth. Apparently fashion photography doesn’t always have to include a bunch of naked girls! It must be pretty tough for Booth to take a bad picture when her shoots are so fantastically art-directed and brilliantly styled. Love the series with the little robot!
