Architecture collective Assemble and photographer Simon Terrill have re-created concrete playgrounds of the post-war era using brightly coloured foam. The large-scale installations are on display at the Royal Institute of British Architecture in London from June 10 to August 16. See more images below.
Foam Magazine kindly sent over their double-issue, Talent and it’s as thick as an encyclopedia. It is fantastic. Find it now! They continue to be the best photography publication on the rack. If you can’t find it, you can always improve your situation by throwing yourself off a cliff onto spikes.
How often do you open a magazine a literally drool over every page? The wonderful people at Foam sent over their latest issue and it is ridiculous! I gushed like a schoolgirl about their previous issue and this is more of the same. And by “same” I mean: 170+ pages, foldouts, photo inserts, glossy pages, matte pages, gorgeous layouts! The theme of this issue is Wonder and there’s this beautiful bleeding watercolor type treatment throughout. ahhhh.. Just get it, you’ll see what I mean!
I just received a fantastic publication from the Netherlands called, FOAM. It features photographers from all over the world on 170+ pages – glossy pages, matte pages, fold-outs, everything! And the best part is they are currently looking for submissions for their 2009 Talent issue! So head on over to Foam Magazine and let them know you should be published!
