Are the Similarities Between Trump and Hitler TIME Covers Purely Coincidental?

trump-hitler-time-cover0

TIME Magazine has just announced their “Person of the Year” is Donald Trump. Twitter users were quick to point out the striking similarities between this cover, shot by photographer Nadav Kander, and the Adolf Hitler cover from April 1941. Hitler was also named “Person of the Year” in 1938.

In both images the subjects are seated in chairs, but as Fader points out, notice the ominous shadow on the wall, and the way the colour of the backdrop complements the suit. For reference you can look through the past “Person of the Year” covers here.

Many are also suggesting that the “M” in TIME gives Donald Trump the appearance of having devil horns. Are people reading too much into this or were these intentional decisions? Have a look at both cover images below.

Best of Kickstarter: Kung Fury

kungfury-film

David Sandberg’s over the top 1980’s action cop movie “Kung Fury” went up on Kickstarter a couple days ago and has already raised over $280,000. The film is about a cop who goes back in time to kill the most dangerous kung fu master, Adolf Hitler (naturally).

David and his friends live in Sweden and have shot most of their film, set in 1980’s Miami, in their tiny studio. They’ve gone to comical lengths to stretch their minuscule budget, for example they could only afford one police uniform so they had to shoot every extra separately.

Watch the amazing trailer below, the time travel sequence is what sold me on this movie.

Andrzej Dragan

Photographer Andrzej Dragan gives us a terrifyingly detailed look at Old Marilyn. I should note that Dragan is not only an award-winning photographer, but according to his bio he’s also an award-winning physicist? Annnd an award- winning composer!? WTF? Essentially his biography would make Einstein want to stay in on a friday night with a tub of Ben & Jerrys and a stack of Sandra Bullock movies.
