I quite like these bizarre paintings by Steve Kim. Very interesting style, lots of negative space – kinda like seeing the early stages of an Ian Francis painting.

I’ve been meaning to post about Ian Francis for awhile. He draws, paints, collages, paints again, draws some more, you get the idea. I was largely inspired by his work a couple years ago when I found myself designing lots of music packaging (my work holds a candle to Francis’ work).
