Kristiana Parn
Illustrations by Kristiana Parn. Acrylic and pencil on wood. Just gave me a bunch of ideas for the children’s book I still want to make.
Emily Wong
It turns out Emily Wong (Ninja vs Penguin) is obsessed with hair! Whenever she’s feeling really stressed she busts out the graphite - haha I love it. The hair in this first drawing actually belongs to Ophelia Chong, small world!
Maxwell Lord / 86 Era
This is great to see - lettering by Maxwell Lord created the good old fashioned way, by hand. Like the old saying goes: “Fineliners before mouse clicks!” (No one says this, I made it up) Thanks for the email Max.
Yann Lebec
How about a collection of 1950’s film posters re-illustrated by Yann Lebec. No? Too bad! I’m forcing them on you. These are so AWESOME. I have to admit that I do have a little bit of an obsession with film posters.
Ehren Salazar
Ehren Salazar is easily one of my favourite artists, and I am extremely privileged to call him a friend. I dug up a few of his drawings and I think you will quickly see how insanely talented he is. We went to college together and I remember his portfolio was filled with hundreds of these ridiculously detailed pencil drawings - I just told him about Etsy so hopefully he puts a bunch of his work on there.

Ehren is also currently running a galleryspace called Little Mountain Studios here in Vancouver, and you can definitely expect to see us working together in the new year.
Dan McPharlin
I’ll continue with the Sci-Fi theme a bit - here’s some illustrations by Australian Dan McPharlin. I found out about McPharlin over on everyone’s favourite Sci-Fi blog: Sci-Fi-O-Rama.
Mike Stilkey
Ink. Acrylic paint. Colored pencils. Old books. The wonderful work of Mike Stilkey. Found this over at Mint - go pay Ellie a visit, her blog is one of my favourites.
