Tangents

I can’t keep it secret any longer, I am extremely excited to announce the first-ever Booooooom art show, Tangents!

booooooom lifetime collective tangents art show vancouver

I have joined forces with the folks at Lifetime Collective to bring together six amazing artists for a group show here in Vancouver. November 13th. 8PM. Lifetime Space (68 5th Ave West).

The artists are: Erika Somogyi, Garry Trinh, Kenichi Hoshine, Ben Tour, Luke Ramsey, and Jennilee Marigomen.

Three locals, and three out of towners, all supremely talented. It is going to be an amazing show.

RSVP the Facebook event.

Lifetime Collective Giveaway!

I finagled my friends over at Lifetime Collective to give away some free stuff. So how does a tee, a sweatshirt, and a pair of jeans sound? You can even pick exactly which ones you want (choose from their entire Fall/Winter 2009 collection).

Salazar x Lifetime Collective

My friends at Salazar just put together a beautiful video for Lifetime Collective and I really hope to see more of this kind of thing – a blurring of fashion catalog, music video, and short film. It reminds me of Ryan McGinley’s work.

Thanks Lifetime!

My friends at Lifetime Collective invited me out for a BBQ on their patio and then a few (million) other people showed up to hear Lightning Dust, Ladyhawk, and Constantines make some noise. It was a great party! Lifetime is a brand that fully supports the scene, and they’re also the ones behind the magazine I mentioned before, Selector. Cheers fellas!

Selector

Who says print is dead? For every mag headed for a tomb, there’s another one poppin’ out of a womb. I have professed my love for over-sized art publications and Selector can be added to the list. Issue #1 features many artists I’ve plugged before: Mario Hugo, Jody Rogac, John Copeland
