Daniel Rozin is an Associate Art Professor at ITP Tisch School of the Arts, NYU, and as an artist he is perhaps best known for his ongoing series of ‘mechanical mirrors’. I’ve been fascinated by his work for several years now so it was a treat to get to ask him some questions about the things he makes. Have a look at a video of some of his works as well as a short interview below.
Tel-Aviv born and now London-based photographer Ori Gersht electrocutes mirrors, capturing them right at the moment the glass shatters. That the mirrors are reflecting flowers is an added bonus. Not only are the resulting images beautiful, they recall Gersht’s work from a few years ago. Although, in that case, it was the flowers themselves that were blown up. More images from Gersht’s latest project, as well as video from his previous, below!
Presenting the art of Li Wei (sorry if this is old news for some, I’m a little late on this guy). Wei’s photos are just incredible. He doesn’t just comp these together in photoshop – he goes to the trouble of setting up wires and arranging mirrors to create these amazing pieces. More photos after the jump (including one that will give you a little insight into the way he’s creating the illusions).
