Artist Mike Winkelmann, perhaps better known as Beeple, has been making a piece of art every day (from start to finish) for the past 3,416 days! That’s nearly ten years of consecutive days spent being creative! His motion work has garnered him a slew of Vimeo Staff picks, and artists like Flying Lotus, Skrillex, Amon Tobin, and many others have used his live visuals in their shows. I’ve seen so much of his work floating around the net but had no idea it was all being created by one guy.
“Andante” by MIT’s Tangible Media Group is an exploration in musical motion, intended to visualize the bodily experience and natural rhythms of music. While this project is no doubt highly sophisticated, there’s something super charming about simply watching these little animated characters play the piano as they walk!
