Designer Joshua Davis has been creating some really cool visuals lately, experimenting with texture mapping (2D image wrapped onto a 3D object). Here he uses Tycho’s “See” video as the source and the results are way more interesting than the original Tycho video. Watch the experiment below.
Florence Welsh wrestles with herself, quite literally, in her latest video for “Ship To Wreck”, once again directed by Vincent Haycock. I love it when an artist and a director work together for multiple videos on one album; Welsh and Haycock have really found a great chemistry (see “What Kind of Man” and “St Jude”). Hopefully there’s a video for every song on the album!

Here’s a video for Vancouver punk band “Eating Out”, directed by Dave Ehrenreich with cinematography by Liam Mitchell. Doing drugs all day isn’t my thing but I feel like Eating Out’s video captures youth culture in the same way that old Linklater films and classic music videos, like Smashing Pumpkins’ “1979”, did.
