Artist and experimental musician Graham Dunning’s Mechanical Techno Demonstration is exactly what it sounds like! Dunning demonstrates his incredible hand-made method for making techno music: layering locked records, analogue synths, even mechanically triggered percussion. Watch how it all comes together below!
Apparently this was filmed inside a fish bowl, but I honestly have no idea what I’m looking at. It feels real (whatever that means). This audio visual experiment is part of filmmaker and musician Kamiel Rongen’s Hyde Park project. The artist describes these works as a series of landscapes. Watch the video below.
Cool Hunting offers a delightful peek into the creative headquarters of DEVO founder, Mark Mothersbaugh. The award-winning Hollywood composer has accumulated quite a collection of synths; I feel like Moog fans would have a heart attack if they stepped foot inside this building.
This is worth watching if for no other reason than to know what “we smell sausage” becomes when its played backwards! Mothersbaugh is crazy in the most lovable way; I really hope that the Mark Mothersbaugh-designed theme park Wes Anderson talked about will become a reality. Really enjoyed this. Watch the video below.
