Greetings: Kyle Field + Nathaniel Russell + Alia Shawkat

God, I wish I was in Paris. This is a general on-going wish but tonight especially as it is the opening of Greetings.
Artists Kyle Field, Nathaniel Russell, and Alia Shawkat (yes, Maeby from Arrested Development) have been staying in the countryside in France making work especially for the show! Danielle Rubi, a talented photographer in her own right, curated the show.
Whole bunch of sneak peek photos below!
27 Waldos
Not too long ago Islands Fold proposed the idea of a collection of artists each creating their own unique version of Waldo (or Wally depending on your location). The artists would also imagine an environment for him to hide in. Somehow this amazing idea was rejected by the company who owns the rights. What a colossal mistake!
Can you tell who drew each of these? See a full artist list below!
Buddy System
Little Paper Planes presents, Buddy System! If you live in SF, get down to Rare Device (1845 Market St.) at 7pm tonight, for the opening! Four artists were selected and then each of them had to invite a buddy to be a part of the show as well. The eight artists showing are: Caitlin Gallupe + Bridget Moser, Claire Grill + Aline Cautis, David Wilson + Nathaniel Russell, Jess Wheaton + Matt Momchilov.
