Nostalgic series by Bangkok-born, Auckland-based photographer Wara Bullôt. Acting as a photographic archive of 48 homes built in New Zealand (particularly the Hutt Valley suburb of Naenae) in 1945, The Lawns are Green captures not only the social changes of the post-war boom but also how those standards and ideals have shifted over time. I’m not sure what to call these After Effects heavy travel videos but they’ve definitely become a thing. Enjoy Ben Steensels, Rob Antill, and Arno Stols’ trip to New Zealand edited sorta like when a character in a crime show is remembering the murder. Watch “Lost in New Zealand” below.
