“Through The Ground Glass” is a stunning portrait of Joseph Allen Freeman, a large format photographer. I imagine there was a lot of pressure on the directors, Taylor Hawkins and Nick Bolton, in trying to capture a subject on video when that subject is someone who shoots large format film. They did it brilliantly though, the footage is gorgeous. It’s also really great to hear Freeman speak so candidly about the process. Watch the video below.
