Thobias Faldt

Some mysterious photography by Sweden-based Thobias Faldt. I read an interview with him where he talked about not wanting to look at a photo immediately after shooting it. The strong feelings of taking the photo then become attached to it, and he feels they can only become “pictures” when those feelings aren’t associated.

Todd Hido

An absolutely stunning series of photos by Todd Hido simply called Homes at Night. Low quality internet jpgs definitely aren’t doing this work any justice. Downright eerie, I love it.

Alex Prager

The first thing that came to mind when I saw Alex Prager’s photography, was Hitchcock. As far as I’m concerned if you make anything that reminds anyone of Alfred Hitchcock, you’re doing something right. This is some faaantastic work.

Aaron Hobson

Aaron Hobson shoots what he calls “cinemascapes” – 4 or 5 sequential vertical images stitched together. David Maisel

Jaw-dropping aerial photography by David Maisel. Taken from his website: “For more than twenty years, David Maisel has chronicled the tensions between nature and culture in his large-scaled photographs of environmentally impacted landscapes.” Enjoy some collisions of natural and man-made beauty abstracted by a master.

Philippe Ramette

The fabulously surreal work of Philippe Ramette. Not unlike the work of Li Wei featured quite awhile back.

Eleanor Hardwick

Beautiful series of photos by Eleanor Hardwick for the home project. I feel I have to mention that Ms. Hardwick was born in 1993 – you do the math. Ridiculous!!! I’ve looked at her portfolio long enough, where’s that tub of ice cream and all my Sandra Bullock movies? October 1st is the day I officially stopped trying.
