Matt Leines
Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been in Tokyo! It was a nice surprise to meet Matt Leines in Yokohama. The third photo down is one of my favourites from the entire trip.

Night Vision went down Friday night at Strathcona Park and several hundred people showed up to listen to music, chill out, and enjoy some photography. There was a little incident with the sprinklers but there’s nothing like a group shower to spice up a party! Huge props to Natasha Lands and Jennilee Marigomen for making it all happen!

The first three shots are courtesy of Julian Hecht, and I shot the last two from my blanket!
I know a bunch of you entered the RVCA + Color Magazine + Timebomb camera phone contest, This is my Life – well, the winners have just been announced!
The 12 photos above depict a day in the life of Ben Niznik, good enough for third place in the contest! Head over to Timebomb to see if you won.
Big thanks to Jennilee and timebombtrading for hooking me up with issue 2 of RVCA’s awesome ANPQuarterly arts magazine! RVCA has always done a fantastic job of hilighting the art community. I especially like the back cover!
RVCA + Color Magazine + Timebomb Trading present: “This is My Life” a camera phone photography contest! Take photos with your cell phone during your day and create a 12-frame (one per hour) contact sheet. The most interesting day wins a clothing package from RVCA valued at $500! Second and third place wins a one-year subscription with Color Magazine.
Since the image is so small I’ve copied out all the instructions below:
My friend Jennilee (timebombtrading) was kind enough to send over RVCA’s ANPQuarterly arts magazine. I think I told you of my LOVE for large format magazines (whats up Sneeze!) and looky here, its the KAWS issue – BOOYAH! She also stuck in a copy of Ed Templeton’s book, Nobody Living Can Ever Make Me Turn Back which is a collection of his photos from Emerica’s Wild Ride road trip a couple years ago!
